The house where Juliet lived: Casa di Giulietta:

The Balcony

Tales of unrequited love, romance & tragedy is a reminiscent eternal love story of Romeo Juliet. 2010 was the year when “Letters to Juliet” made it mark in the theatres. The flick was set in the beautiful Casa di Giuiletta- Juliet’s home. The house is centrally located in Verona at via Cappello. This was the house where the Capulet family resided. One can still get the feel from the antique coat-of-arms on the archway of the courtyard.

The best place in the house obviously throws light on Juliet’s balcony overlooking the courtyard. The next cynosure is the bronze statue of Juliet. Though the origin of thi statue in still shrouded in mystery, yet there is a popular thing that people do. They rub the right breast of the statue which is supposed to make your luck stars shine bright.

One will find innumerable sticky notes and graphiti on the walls of this romantic courtyard addressed to Juliet. The silver screen projection of this myth was great and indulging as is love!!!!!

Letters to Juliet!

But the reality check is “Is this actually the house of Shakespeare’s Juliet?” http://www.igougo.com/ reviwed that, “The house actually has no connection with Shakespeare's fictional characters. Although the house is old, the balcony was added in 1936 and it was declared to be Juliet's house to attract tourists. Local officials, determined to keep the myth alive, designated it to be the residence of the Capulets. It costs 4 Euros to visit. The house contains a sparse collection of Renaissance frescoes rescued from other demolished palaces, as well as the original bed from Zeffirelli's 1968 movie Romeo and Juliet. There is not a lot else!”

This this is an obvious tourist trap. No matter what millions of people across the globe come here to see the bronze statue of Juliet and rub her breast (for good luck in love I guess).
What is your take? Do you believe in this?

Spacecraft technology in Ancient Historical Anthology

There's a sci-fi effect in the ancient era. Did you know what is that? As archaelogists leave no stone unturned to excavate the darkest secrets from history, there comes another marvelous revelation. This is about India. India had a rich treasure casket of hi tech warfare technology, much beyond the anticipations of Western history. Today's nuclear weapons are nothing but a modification of the Bramhastra and Vimana used in the pre-Mahabharata period.

This secret was vividly explianed by one of the eminent scientists, Mr. C.S.R Prabhu, NIC, Hyderabad as a part of the lecture on Indo-Nepal Sanskrit Conference. He stated that," that the pre-Mahabharata period was an age of high technology, which was ignored in the Medieval period due to reasons not known."

Mr. Prabhu referred to one of well know scholars, Subbaraya Sastry. Sastry, while in his state of yogic trance orally recited about the spacecraft technology in vogue during the period from 1875 to 1919. This was tracked by his deciples. One can still find this text in Nepal's Royal Library. It explores all the technical details on assembling, fabricating and erecting a spacecraft. You will find revealations about the metals, semi-conductors, alloys and other interesting aeronautical information. On a tip on making an alloy, the text said `Krishnaseesam Chanjanikam Vajrathundam samamsathaha' from which the real meaning of `Vajrathundam' (used in that context), could not be found in any contemporary Sanskrit dictionary. ``After a great amount of interaction with ayurvedic specialists and Swamijis with intuitive interpretations, it turned out to be the cactus plant,'' he said.

These evidences have been strengthened by wall paintings in Rajasthan in some forts. These art works depict usage of rockets in Mughal warfare and also elucidates its use by Tipu Sultan of Mysore. To add to this the spacecraft could become invisible on its own. The lead alloy (Thamogarbha loha) used in making the body of the spacecraft would absorb light around it in a photo chemical reaction that would make it disappear. You would be astonished to learn that there was a kind of `nuclear power' that was used in those days. `The solar power, when coupled with gamma rays produced nuclear energy that had the power to propel a rocket', Mr. Prabhu observed.
